Web feeds provide an easier way to access sites with frequently updated content (such as blogs). They are based on RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication. Using a feed you can subscribe to blogs (such as ours) and read new posts easily using a Newsreader (sometimes called a News Aggregator). If you read more than a couple of blogs, this is much faster than going to each website. Subscribing to a web feed also means you are in control - you don’t need to provide an email address or any personal details.
